What is the Community Coding Wizards program? 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♀️

An initiative by Scaler to bring together coders with a fair amount of expertise in one or more areas, and empower them with the power to share their knowledge with the public Discord community of over 51,000 software engineering enthusiasts.

Are there levels to this program? 🎢

Yes. There currently are two levels to this program - Wizards and Masters. The difference between the two consists of multiple factors: experience, level of expertise and some other factors decided by the selection committee. Wizards will be guided by Masters throughout the program.

What can I gain from this? 🎖️

While there is a rewards system (more on this below) in place, we recommend that you don't take this up if that is your only source of motivation. We want to build the world's largest and best tech community that becomes a place for all coders and coding enthusiasts to learn and chill together, and since Wizards and Masters will be the ones helping us along the journey, we want self-motivated folks who love helping others and want to give back to the community.

How long is the program? ⏱️

Three months. At the end of three months, depending on their respective performances, Wizards will either be promoted to Masters or be asked if they wish to continue in the same position.

Sincerity 🙅🏽‍♂️

If you want to take this up, sincerity must be on top of your list of priorities. Since you would be assigned to a set of Scaler Masters, there will be tasks that must be completed on time and without any hiccups. Remember that you will be in a server of over 50k members and the way you put in effort will go a long way in ensuring continuing growth.

You gotta love being around people 🌏

At least online. This is a community that consists of coders and coding enthusiasts across India and a few other countries, and everyone has their own quirks. Since you are now a special member of the server, you need to be equally polite and helpful as the moderators and administrators with everyone. Even when things escalate, you are expected to keep calm and focus on what matters: the sanctity of the community.

Open to Learning 📖

If you are here, that means you have a good base and can improve a lot with the community going forward. You would have Masters to guide and mentor you, and for that, you must always be open to learning new things.
